Left Over Pulled Pork = Maple Smokehouse Pizza

Sounds gourmet, right? It tastes even better. It's probably one of the best pizza I've ever had/made. Of course, I used my "Go To" Pizza Dough and then grilled it to perfection. You'll notice that other than the pizza dough recipe, and caramelized onion recipe, there is no actual measurements on the pizza instructions themselves. This is simply because you can adjust and tailor it to your taste. I love lots of sauce, Jay doesn't. He piled on the cheese. Although tempting, I was a tad more conservative. There are no words to explain how luxurious this pizza felt. You will just have to try it!
Left Over Pulled Pork = Maple Smokehouse Pizza
Ingredients:1 batch Go To Pizza Dough (found here)
Your favorite bottled Maple Barbecue Sauce
Caramelized onions (see recipe below)
Your left over pulled pork
Fresh mozzarella cheese or your favorite pizza cheese blend.
Directions:
Stretch out your pizza dough to the desired shape and size.
Spread as little or as much of the Maple BBQ sauce as desired.
Evenly disperse the pulled pork
Cover with the caramelized onions and cheese.
Bake in an over at 425ºF for approximately 15 minutes or grill on your BBQ until the bottom of the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Caramelized Onions
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 1/2 pounds onions, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper
2 teaspoons sugar
In a large skillet, melt the butter in the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper, and cook, stirring constantly, until the onions begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the sugar and cook, scraping the browned bits off the bottom of the pan frequently, until the onions are golden brown, about 20 minutes.
