In a hurry? Weeknight dinner rush getting you down?  Here's a grilled dish that takes less than 15 minutes to assemble marinate and grill, and packs a punch with bold flavours. What a crowd pleaser!


Chinese 5 Spice Beef Kabobs

Ingredients

  

1 pound beef flank steak or boneless beef sirloin
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp honey
2 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder

Directions  

  1. Thinly slice steak across grain. If necessary, flatten slices with palm of hand or meat mallet to 1/4-inch thickness. In medium bowl combine beef, soy sauce, five-spice powder, garlic and honey; toss to coat beef. Thread beef on skewers (If using wooden skewers, skewers in water for 30 minutes before threading).
  2. For charcoal or gas grill, grill kabobs on rack of covered grill directly over medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes or to desired doneness, turning once.
