Welcome to a gorgeous sunny Tuesday in May and officially my first day of vacation. Yay! What a better way to start of your vacation than with a frozen treat that's easy, simple and healthy? The beauty of this frozen yogurt is that you can make it any fruit flavour you'd like as long as the fruit used is frozen solid. I have a pomegranate and raspberries that are just begging to be combined in the next batch. Enjoy!
5-Minute Healthy Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Yield: 4 servings
Prep Time: 5 min
Ingredients:
4 cups frozen strawberries
3 Tbsp honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt (non-fat or full fat)
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 Tbsp honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt (non-fat or full fat)
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
Directions:
Add the frozen strawberries, honey, yogurt and lemon juice to the bowl of a food processor. Process until creamy, about 5 minutes.Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the freezer for up to 1 month.
*You can add more honey if you want a sweeter-tasting dessert and/or depending on the sweetness of the fruit being used.
**Fresh fruit can be used in place of frozen, however the fresh fruit must be frozen solid.
